I'm sorry. Been dealing with what I now realised is pneumonia, then throw in jet-lag, and now im on a flight to Sydney tomorrow morning. This is why I have barely spent time catching up with you all.
I'm just ok to get on a plane tomorrow as I've just been resting the whole weekend. I said "just". I can only just do the promo run one last time.
For years I've been immunocompromosed following radiation therapy that just kills your own way of fighting germs over the longer term. So please, im not ignoring you all, I'm just managing my own health to be able to still function when needed for.work.
Of you're around Hyde Park area tomorrow, make sure you message me for a catchup soiree..I'll be at the local for a bite and a coffee or two for a short time.

I finally finished the album!
Slept for 1 hour on the plane though!
Now to upload all 3 albums/40 tracks, including Atmos. I think I'll just put up the stereo tracks for now. The atmos fans will need to wait a bit longer! Who needs sleep anyway, right? 🤪😜😝

Sure, I've hit the #1 global spot a few times last year, but I just wanted to post my current spot and thats only because I've generated enough curiosity for my latest uber album release next month.
Thanks for keeping me up in the "worlds top 5 indie acts", not just for the dance genre, but for all indie music. Thats just insane AF. Thankyou.

You know that moment when you've just completed 21 "all hit" tracks on a new album and you're itching to give everyone a peek into it and you're not allowed to because one or more of these tracks is under submission for a few major movies and if they get selected, it changes everything about how it's released?
Well, this is where I'm at today.
I even thought about giving you a listen to a few tracks since there is (so far) 21 included in it...and yep, its still a nope.
And then folks are "sneak peek or it's not real" and..were talking money exchange that changes my life!
BUT, i can tell you that:
Presales happen in February, where if you buy through Apple Music you get your "fix" of 4 of the tracks to download to play before anyone else.
The album release date is March 11th.
The ALBUM will NOT be on Spotify . Why? Because spotify doesn't value indie artists, with the lowest compensation per stream of any service. Some single releases from the album will be there eventually.
The whole album will be on great services such as YouTube Music, Apple Music , Anghami , Amazon Music TIDAL and Beatport
Ive spent this much time writing about it so you know it means that this is the kind of album that represents my "renaissance" moment. Theres something for everyone on this, and most will like it's variety in positive and danceable music.
A physical USB album pack will be available to buy during the tour, starting in March. It will have more than the 21+ tracks...it may even have all the "eras" of my tracks too!

It's a great honour to contribute and be part of, the voting committee for the ARIA AWARDS 2024.
The sad part is, every group or act i voted for in every category, DIDNT WIN this year.
Not 1 got up!!
There is a few categories there i vote for every year, and usually most that I do vote for, win.

How could I be so out of touch with reality...or could it actually be the other way around?

So sick of supposedly being a part of an association that supposedly fairly and equally represents Australian talent. I think this year will be my last. Probably more keen to expose the rorts and secret squirrel shenanigans there, like a group of (growing) folks who have badgered me to join their crusade for fairness and equality.

As for what I did last night: I filed my nails and plucked my nose hairs. It was more exciting than watching TV. I didn't even set the DVR to record the Awards this time. There's great Aussie talent out there that are being overlooked because of $$$$ payments under the table for a "win" at this event.
I think I'll swap my membership next year for the (American) Recording Academy. Theres a tonne of checks and balances in their voting system to prevent corruption. The ARIA vote system is easily changeable as it has no "submit" and verification process. I do believe it gets manipulated for a vested $$$ result.

I met Ollie in 1989 when he had a pseudo - "Max Q", (named after his dog max) which also dragged in Michael Hutchence of INXS. They were recording in a studio in Darlinghurst when I was attending uni in Sydney. From there I flew north to Cairns and Mackay where I forged my DJ path with a few residencies up there, but never forgot the wild combos they were coming up with in studio, and he inspired me to come up with my first pseudo too - "Anthony Cruise" (not very imaginative, but it was good business to steal a bit of Tom's thunder back then).

A few years back, Ollie was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare neurodegenerative disorder to which there is no known cure.
Today he is now free to play some heavenly tunes with Mike.
